President
Rebecca is a Cincinnati native who returned “home” after many years living outside Ohio. She moved to Wyoming in 2024 with her husband, two young children, and cat, and is loving exploring Wyoming and beyond! Rebecca has moved to new cities several times as an adult, so she is very familiar with all the joys and challenges that come rolled up in such exciting changes. Are you new here, too? Have you been here a while but want to meet new friends? She’d love to meet you and see what we have in common!
Event Chairperson
Our Event Chair, Merrick Beinke, grew up in Wyoming and returned several years ago with her wife and four children. She has a background in marketing and real estate and keeps busy volunteering for several organizations in Wyoming.
Merrick has a deep appreciation for history. From historic homes and architecture to antiques, design, and the stories they tell, Wyoming is a great fit.
Community service and advocacy have been lifelong interests, reflecting her belief in the power of engaged citizens to make a difference.
She believes in the importance of the Wyoming Newcomers Club as a tool to welcome new residents. As a proud Wyoming native, she enjoys sharing her knowledge of the community and helping others feel at home
As WNC’s Event Chair, Merrick plans member events, brings people together, and—most importantly—keeps the fun going!
Membership Coordinator
Sarah Gerhardt serves as the Membership Chair. Originally from Columbus, she moved to Cincinnati for graduate school. She and her husband are raising their three children in Wyoming, a community that holds special meaning for their family, as it is where her husband’s grandparents raised their family.
Sarah is actively involved in an employee resource group that supports parents and caregivers by promoting work-life balance and connection in the workplace. Sarah enjoys discovering new restaurants and taking long walks with her hound dog.
The Newcomers Club has been especially meaningful to Sarah, helping her build lasting friendships and a sense of community during the postpartum season of life. She is passionate about helping new members feel welcomed and connected, and hopes others experience the same friendships and support that have made the club so valuable to her.
Technology Chairperson
Joe Mock recently moved back to his hometown of Wyoming with his wife Erica Rumpke and son Noah. When considering where to establish roots as a young family, Wyoming was an easy choice; the strong community and schools drew Joe and Erica back home. Joe enjoys cycling/mountain biking, good food, and exploring his community with his family. Joining the Wyoming Newcomers Club has been a great way to meet new people and reconnect with old friends.
